A Dreamed Sequel

What if The Little Prince’s story continued? Inspired by the themes of dreams, lightness, the sky, and time, I imagined a meeting between the aviator and the rose. Wearing the Little Prince’s scarf, the aviator crosses paths with the tamed fox, and together, they set off into space in search of Asteroid B-612. In The Little Prince, the protagonist leaves his planet thanks to birds, so I found it poetic to imagine a bird guiding the aviator on his journey. His travel companion is a blue heron, inspired by the one in front of Écouflant’s town hall near Angers. And the lion in the clouds symbolizes Dakar—a nod to my client’s career path and adventures. As for the eyes: the closed eye represents the fox’s lesson: “One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye.” The open eye, meanwhile, is an invitation to stay present and appreciate the small wonders of everyday life. This illustration is like an imaginary sequel to a timeless story—one where we go beyond the limits of reality, lose ourselves in thought, and let our imagination take over.
